The Model NATO Challenge is a scholarship competition where the top 28 applicants along with 6 alternates are chosen to participate in a mock global crisis simulation, confronting issues facing today’s NATO Alliance.  28 Student Diplomats are chosen to represent each of the 28 NATO Member Countries during the simulation where consensus must be reached while addressing the crisis. Student Diplomats are assigned Mentors, military officers from each of the 28 countries, who assist in preparing the students for the challenge while teaching them about their culture, national military resources and political backgrounds. This Mentoring relationship is a very unique feature of the Model NATO Challenge, as students have the opportunity to work with Mentors who are Officers at NATO- Allied Command Transformation.

This year’s Model NATO Challenge will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Virginia Wesleyan College!
